I usually make my projects with a 3D printer, but I wanted to be able to make small things out of other materials so I purchased this CNC router. I am still learning how to use it. The router appears to be of good quality and was easy to assemble. The frame and carriage mechanisms are heavy duty and the router has a solid feel. The assembly manual is pictorial with very little written instructions. If you are like me and have done a lot of different product assemblies, you won’t have any problems. The router does not take up much room and its noise is like any other router, its volume is commensurate with how aggressive you are cutting/milling. CNC routers in general have a higher learning curve versus a 3D pointer, depending on what you’re trying to create. Updated 7/8/24. The company is very customer service oriented. I was eager to get into a desktop CNC and researched a number of 3018 machines. The LUNYEE 3018 PRO MAX definitely stood out, not only because of its all aluminum body and its upgraded 500W spindle but also from all the positive reviews here of people's customer service experience. I knew that I was going into this as a new user and that the software learning curve was going to be steep. I watched a ton of videos on YouTube and felt like I was ready to pull the trigger. Installation was actually pretty straight forward. I don't remember exactly how long it took but it seemed to go smoothly with the included instruction pamphlet. I was a little confused about the wiring but their online video showed what I was missing. I've only done a few test cuts but am super excited to start putting this through its paces. The stability and quality of the hardware seems top notch! I'll update this review in the future with my first real project.
