Very nice machine
The machine is very nicely made and very sturdy. on my kit the x axis rod is bent and i have to replace it in order to get the machine running. Therefore 4 stars and not 5

This is a great product for a good price. It was packaged well, and fairly easy to assemble. I expected a learning curve in using it, and it did not disappoint. It has a lot of features, and I made my share of mistakes while learning but it has been fun. And Lunyee has been prompt to reply to my questions and help me work through problems which were all related to my learning to use the machine. I watched quite a few YouTube videos that helped also, and even further convinced me that the Lunyee 3018 Pro Max is a solid CNC machine. It comes with a flash drive with software, project test files, and other information to help you get started. I added a photo, showing my first project which was making a spoilboard which you can see on the base plate of the machine to protect it from my goofs. I am having so much fun with it, and looking forward to all the cool things I can make with it.

I bought this as a complete newbie to CNC, so I thought that I would start small. This review will cover the unboxing and set up. I will update as soon as I complete my first project. I ordered one, open the box and started to put it together, only to find out that the bottom rails had been inserted wrong at the factory (I had to unscrew them and flip them to have the screw holes in the right place for the Z-Axis) and then found some small parts missing - the rubber feet and the small screws that hold the limiter switch. I let Amazon know and set it up for return. I ordered another one right away because I have a project that I want to complete this week, and did not want to wait for parts to come from China. Customer Service responded fairly quickly and offered to send the parts right away along with a partial refund, but it was too late as I jumped to get it sent back so I could get credit for my $400+ that I spent. Looking back, I would have taken them up on their offer, but I am so used to companies not responding that I jumped too soon. All that said, the second unit came in and I was just as impressed with the packing and quality of the unit as I was with the first one. There are several videos out there on Lunyee's YouTube channel that will get you all put together and connected fairly easily. Everything is metal and feels pretty solid. I installed the driver on my laptop that was provided on the USB drive that was in the box. That went fairly well. Then it was time to create a G-Code file. I was lost. I loaded the Candle program provided, but you have to have Gcode files to use. I do not. I messaged the company again and asked what software they recommend to create Gcode files. They steered me towards Easel. I also found another one from a Youtube Channel but have not checked it out yet. I found a great video from a YouTuber called cyberreefguru that walks through using Easel to create Gcode files from SVG files and it was immensely helpful. Today I hope to create a file and test my first simple project. So far, though, so good as far as build and the appearance of a quality machine.

USEasiest machine to setup
As a newbie to CNC machines, I was very skeptical about buying one, but I am so glad that I bought this one. It was easy to set up an easy to download the software in order to start carving. It comes with a 30 day free trial of the easel software premium package, after the 30 days, you can buy the package or continue to use the basic for free. I started with a small machine but wish I had bought a larger one, but that was my call. I will probably be buying a new one from these people, but on a larger scale , it’s great for carving out signs and making small gifts. The machine is very sturdy and seems to be durable. The customer service is impeccable. They’ve worked with me the whole way getting me up and running, and they were in constant contact with me all in all this machines are a great fit for me where I am right now.
