CNC 3018 Series

1. Can 3018 cnc machine be connetced to MacBook?

Yes, but it is necessary to use the new M-series models along with a splitter. We also provide a user manual specifically for Mac systems.

2. How to get the machine to pair with my software?

1. First, make sure that the serial port device can be found in Device Manager.
2. Ensure that the COM port and baud rate setting of CNC Machine in the connection software are correct. Once these are confirmed, the connection can be established.

3. The tool calibration process will take longer, how to handle it?

A visual tool setting method can be used. To perform this, start the spindle and carefully lower the tool until it just contacts the surface of the workpiece, leaving a slight mark.
Once this contact is made, set the current position as the zero point.

4. What software can be used to adapt the machine?

The USB drive contains host software, and any software that supports GRBL is compatible, such as Easel, UGS, GSender, Candle, etc.

5. How to solve the problem of the Z-axis not rotating or moving very slowly?

It is normal for the Z-axis to move slower than the X and Y axes.
Adjustment is not recommended, as setting the Z-axis speed too high may result in missed steps.

6. How to deal with the problem of spindle not rotating?

1. Check the wiring.
2. Check the connection of the data cable.

7. Can the motherboard establish a wifi connection?

The motherboard cannot connect to Wi-Fi.

8. Programing is runing, XY axis speed is very slow?

If no parameters have been changed during operation, the speed is only related to the toolpath settings.
If parameters have been accidentally changed, please contact Lunyeecnc customer service.

9. The USB drive appears to be empty or is not recognized by the computer. How should I proceed?

The content in the link should be same as on the USB drive.

10. The spindle stops immediately after starting to rotate. How to fix it?

Check if laser mode is enabled ($32=1 indicates laser mode is on). If it is, you need to disable it manually.

11. How to use the offline controller to home the machine?

The offline controller does not support the homing function.

12. The three axes are rotating, but the spindle is not. How to handle this?

1. Check if the spindle and power supply wires are reversed or incorrectly connected; ensure proper wiring, black to black, red to red.
2. Use an offline controller independently to test if the spindle can rotate.
3. If neither the computer nor the offline controller can control the spindle to rotate, the control board or spindle may be faulty. Send a replacement control board or spindle.
4. If the machine is a 3018 series model, you can try connecting the spindle directly to a 48V power supply to check if it works. (1. Pay attention to wiring. 2. Ensure safety. 3. Please contact after-sales support before doing this.)

13. The power supply fan is not turning. How to handle this?

The temperature-controlled fan is triggered when the component temperature exceeds around 45°C.

14. What should be done if 'sys aborts' appears on the software console?

The emergency stop is locked and needs to be unlocked.

15. The spindle cannot run at the specified speed. How to handle this?

Confirm if the emergency stop is locked. The emergency stop can stop the three axes but cannot stop the spindle.

16. The spindle cannot run at the specified speed. How to handle this?

The spindle speed control is divided into 1000 levels, with a speed range from 0 to 1000.
Setting 1000 corresponds to full speed at 12,000 RPM.
If the input value is 1000, the spindle will run at maximum speed.

17. What is the maximum weight capacity of the worktable?

10kg.

CNC 4040 Series

1. The cnc machine wouldn't run on my Mac min M2 or my Linux computer, how to solve it?

Laser 4040 Series

1. How to solve the problem that the laser is turned on but not engraving?

1. Check if the parameter settings are suitable for the material and design to be engraved.
2.Ensure that the focal length setting between the laser head and the workpiece is correct. If the focal length is too large or too small, the laser may not focus correctly on the workpiece.
3.Check if the laser power settings are correct. If the laser power is set too low, it may not effectively engrave the material.
4.Check if any components of the laser machine are damaged.
5.Ensure that the voltage of the laser matches the power supply voltage.

2.What to do if the driver cannot be installed?

1. Check if the driver is compatible with the system (mainly the bit version, 32-bit with 32-bit, 64-bit with 64-bit).
2. Ensure the machine is properly connected to the computer, using the correct USB port and confirming a secure, stable connection.
3. Download directly from LaserGRBL.

3.How to deal with frequent disconnection of the machine?
